An email from a soldier in Afghanistan, dated 29 Jan 09:
These worked out so perfect! I strategically placed them on the desks of the guys in my unit with a note “Don’t forget, Feb 14th….the mail takes 3 weeks!” They were so happy that I looked out for them. Everyone gets so busy here that it is easy to forget to send cards home. I LOVE cards and I really love yours. They are so unique and so pretty. I have two teenage daughters that I adore. The only thing I can do to let them know that I am thinking about them everyday is send cards. I started putting quotes in them to get their day started. They look forward to getting something everyday. They run to the mailbox together. I can just see it in my head, them racing to the mailbox to see if they got a card from their mom in combat. They are keeping each and every one (I have dated every one) so they can show to their grandchildren one day. It’s really sweet. I just wanted you to know that they are more than just paper, they are communication between a mom and her daughters while she is far away. Thank you so much, they give me something to look forward to and my girls something to look forward to. Thank You again……T.B.
